Beautiful Vintage Photos

Hello dearest friends. I hope that you are having a great week!

Last week I received the most beautiful vintage photos that I had ordered from Etsy, and thought that you might like to see them. Of course, they deserve to be displayed in a lovely setting, at least for a little while..

Who can resist these beautiful little girls...

...or these lovely dancers?...

This little lady is one of many that I have
depicting little girls wearing big bows...

...and likewise, one to add to my collection
of little girls holding dolls...

That I now own this photo of these pretty
little blonde sisters makes my heart sing.
Don't you just love that they are holding
twin dolls?...

Of course, this charming group
 was added to my collection
of photos of dancers...

...but this little fairy girl dancer
is just stunning...

And, as friends often do,
we share things,
so here is one for you...

Right click and save, and use as you wish.
This photo is so old I can't imagine that
there is any copyright protection afforded
to it.

Dance through the week,
and find some creative time!

We are headed up to The Wren's Nest
to add some finishing touches
and to start getting her ready to be closed down
for the winter.

Thanks so much for coming by!

  1. Hi Sue
What delightful vintage cabinet cards these are. Love the sweetness of those little girls. That dance group image is so unusual and beautiful.
What is the name of the Etsy shop that sold these? You must have a beautiful collection of cabinet cards. One can only imagine! Thank you so much for sharing these ones for us!

    1. Hi Suzy. Thanks for your sweet comments. I purchased the photos from two different shops. They were "decorables" and "thebluewhaleantiques". Worth a visit! XO

  4. Hello Sue,
I also adore your new find, of beautiful old photoes, they are so wonderful all, and you have displayed them lovely, in your home.
They are kind of difficult to find here, as everyone have collected over a long time :-(
Thank you for sharing the tiny sweet fairy, Sue, and enjoy your time in your Wren's Nest.

    1. You are so lucky to have old photos from your family. I have some from my family as well, but the only cabinet cards that I have are of my great grandparents. Which is why I collect so many from other sources. "Instant ancestors" as they are called! Hugs back Valerie!

  9. Hello Sue, Your girls are so sweet. Thank you for sharing one with us. I love her knobbly little girls' knees, just like my daughter's before they blossom into gorgeous gazelles. The one with the giant bow is so lovely too. My daughter never let me put ribbons in her hair. I have to stand back and let her dye her hair with red cochineal, and wear gym pants and cool tank tops while all the smocked dresses I made for her stay in the cupboard! Ouch! I think that's why I collect these old photos, too!

    hugs,

    Jesse

    1. Thanks, Jesse! I know what you mean about our own kids. My own daughter developed her own fashion "taste" when she was in first grade, so gone were the bows and other pretties. And it only got worse as she approached the teenage years. I get my sweet revenge now, though, because she is herself the mother of a teen aged girl! XO
