Some beauty on a cloudy day...

Good morning friends.

Yesterday was another windy, cool and cloudy day, so after doing some housework I thought I'd take a break, plant a few things that we bought at a local garden club sale earlier in the day, and see what was blooming in the garden. I couldn't resist taking photos of some flowers that looked so beautiful in spite of the less-than-pretty day.

Clematis planted underneath the mailbox along
with Vinca and some other things...

Blue and white Iris...

Blue Iris...

I can't wait until things really start to pop. Spring is so slow this year and not much is blooming just yet. I hope you enjoy the rest of your weekend!

  1. Your iris remind me of my mother's garden! She had so many! And your clematis is beautiful. It will soon be time to dig in and plant in the gardens here. I don't do as much work as my husband does...but I know he's getting antsy!! xo

    1. I love Iris. We couldn't grow them when I lived in Florida, so I guess I am making up for lost time now, though I seem to collect more daylilies, which are my passion (besides hydrangeas). I was glad you were reminded of your mom's garden. XO
